Vari-Chain®
Transmission
Adjustable
Variable Speed Transmissions feature a metal chain
that positively engages grooves in conical wheels,
providing a drive that does not slip. Seven sizes
ranging from fractional to fifteen horsepower
and speed ranges of 2:1 to 6:1 are available in
various configurations and arrangements.

High-Power
Vari-Chain® Transmission (VCD)
A mechanical
differential is coupled to the VARI-CHAIN®
for applications requiring more power and operating
accuracy. Three standard sizes with three models
in each size ranging from 15 to 45 horsepower
and speed ranges of 1.4:1 to 2.5:1 are available.
For this arrangement, the input is constant and
the output is variable.. |

Differential
Draw Transmission (MDD)
The
relatively wide speed range of the VARI-CHAIN®
is compressed by means of appropriate connection
to differential gearing which results in extremely
accurate control of speed. Inherent operating
accuracy over 1000 times that of the VARI-CHAIN®
is attainable. Seven sizes ranging from 4.5 through
45 horsepower and speed ranges of 3% to 20% are
available.

Harmonic
Drive® Draw Transmission
The
HARMONIC DRIVE®
Draw Transmission incorporates strain wave gearing
principles which allow for high single stage differential
ratio. It has high torque capacity and near zero
backlash. Six sizes ranging from 4.5 through 45
horsepower and with available speed ranges varying
from 0.35% to 2.6%.

Mechanical
Differential Wide
Speed Range Transmission (MD)
Wide
Speed Range Transmissions are suitable for applications
requiring 20:1, 50:1 and 100:1 speed ranges, although
the range of this unit is not limited to these
figures. Six sizes ranging from one through ten
horsepower with infinite speed range, including
zero, are available. Transmissions can be operated
at or near zero rpm output setting for any length
of time without causing damage to any component.
